Busy day yesterday as I did not get around to posting...

#1 Sides now 4-0 the last 4 after that 3-game losing streak...#1 Totals have lost 3 of 4 and 2 straight after going 7-1 the previous 8....All NBA Sides have slipped the last 2 days, both losing days, first time that has happened in over a month as I have gone 6-9 the last 2 days although All NBA Totals have gone 10-5 the last 2 days despite both #1 picks losing...

I mentioned the only other time I won 11 straight NBA #1 Sides, I lost 4 straight immediately afterwards. including the first loss...

My #1 NBA Totals are 7-1 their last 8 as hopefully, I have turned the corner there...

 Despite going 9-4 on all NBA Sides on Wednesday, the #1 Side falls again...

#1 Total barely won, however, had you waited until game time to bet it, you would have pushed....All NBA Totals went 10-3 yesterday, so hopefully I am heating up on totals, winning 6 of 7 #1 Totals...

I like my totals tonight better than my sides...

Wednesday NBA picks...

The streak is over...The Mavs quickly blew an 11-point 4Q lead and lost by 3, as 2-point underdogs...

The only other time I had an 11-game winning streak for my #1 NBA Sides, I went 0-4 immediately afterwards, including the loss that snapped the streak...We shall see if I can avoiding losing the next three #1 Sides plays...

#1 Totals showing signs of life, as they may have to pick up the slack when these #1 Sides plays tank...My #1 Totals have won 5 of 6 to creep over .500 on the season at 24-23-2...My #1 Sides are now 35-14 during the regular season, 71.4%...

Also was 0-3 on ALL my NBA Sides picks last night, my worst day since I was 0-3 on Tuesday, November 16...Must be a Tuesday thing...Still up 62.8 units, including preseason with my NBA Sides...

Anyway, let's see if these NBA Sides picks collapse completely now over the next 2 to 3 weeks...That did happen back in '05 or '06, when I had a scorching hot start at the beginning of the season, as I was up around 60 units or so on ALL NBA Sides picks through about 7 1/2 weeks and it went South quick...

Ironically enough, today is 7 weeks and 2 days into the season, so be careful if you start tailing me now...I don't want to see that history repeat itself...I want to bounce back and hopefully stay above .500 over the next 3 to 4 weeks...

Time will tell...

If it gets real bad real quick, I will probably stop posting...

Ok, tied my all-time record of 11 straight #1 NBA Sides wins in a row Monday night with the Spurs cover...

It will be tough to break the record as there are only 3 games tonight, and I like them fairly equally, which means this will probably be an 0-3 night or I will go 2-1 and the #1 Side will lose...

With that said, the scorching hot streak continues:

Went 7-2-1 with all NBA Sides picks last night to bring my percentage up to 59.9% for ALL NBA sides picks, including preseason...

The winning day yesterday gives me 17 winning days out of the last 19 and brings my record over that span to 99-49-1 for a 66.9% winning clip...

For the totals, the 4-game winning streak ended and I only went 5-5 last night there, although I do like my #1 total tonight, maybe even more than my #1 side...

My internet just came up after being down for an hour, as I had the write-up below typed up but could not post....However, you can keep this information in the back of your head...

I took the Philadelphia Flyers at +178 because their head coach got fired this morning, so we have the "new coach coaching his first game" angle in play tonight...This angle works across the 4 major sports, NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB...More for the first 3 sports, I would say...

Not to mention the Flyers are coming off an embarrassing 7-1 loss last night for their 8th straight loss, 2 shy of their franchise record...

Maybe you can sneak a live game bet in...

When is this winning run going to end?...

Of course, I have been saying that for 3 straight days...

My #1 NBA sides have won 10 straight....That is one win off my all-time record of 11 straight set back in the late 1990s...I often thought I should have had a longer streak than 11 since I started tracking my ranked picks in the mid 1990s...But it's harder than you think...By the time I am done capping the board, I often have any one of 2 to 3 picks that could qualify as a #1 pick...So picking that one game out of 2, 3 or 4 sometimes is not easy and then the pick has to win, of course...My #1 pick generally does better when I only have one clear-cut pick that jumps off the page at me...But even then, it's rare to only have 1 pick jump off the board at me daily, and then, once again, to win 11 in a row?...Not as easy as you think...During the course of every NBA season, I have at least one 7-game winning streak every season and have some 8 and 9-game streaks mixed in with those 7-gamers over the years...

But this is officially my hottest streak for #1 NBA sides.

Only my 11-0 from  the late 90's beats my current 10-0 (which I have done at least 1 other time), but I have never had a 17-1 or 21-2 stretch before...

I am 34-13 for the regular season (72.3%), 9-4 for the preseason (69.2%) and 43-17 overall (71.7%)...

Also, ALL of my NBA Sides picks are also scorching hot as this may be my best 7-week stretch ever...I had a similar 7-week stretch in either 2005 or 2006 to start the season, documented on therx.com forum, and I am trying to find that one to see how many units I was up, as I know it was in the neighborhood of where I am right now...

I am at 207-142-2 now (59.3%), one day shy of 7 complete weeks of the season, up 50.8 units...

If you include the preseason, I am 245-167-4, (59.5%), up 61.3 units...

Over my last 18 days of games (no games on Thanksgiving), I have had 16 winning days, one 3-3 day and one 2-3 day, for a record of  92-47, (66.2%) for all NBA Sides, up 40.3 units...

This is the best run I have ever had with my NBA sides...

My #1 NBA Totals have been a struggle at 23-22-2 in the regular season and 6-7 during the preseason, although I have my longest winning streak of the year happening right now at 4 in a row...

I will post until this hot streak crashes and burns, which I have been expecting for days...

Friday NBA...

I have not posted yet this season, but should have been...I have been doing this a while and back in the 1980s and 1990s, there were a ton of handicappers who had 1-800 numbers to call to pay for their locks of the week, or month or year and they would quote you some insane record that they had over the last 10 or 20 games or so...

Well, ok, I can finally do that myself, except it's a legit record of my last 20 #1 NBA Sides picks, where I have gone 18-2 while also going 14-1 my last 15 picks and 7-0 my last 7 picks...

My #1 Sides are 31-13 on the year (70.5%), and I was 9-4 in the preseason (69.2%) for an overall record of 40-17 (70.2%)....

My #1 Totals, ahhh, not so good so far at 20-22-2 for the regular season, 6-7 in the preseason...

For people who have followed me off and on during the last 19 years online, you know I pick every NBA side and total, every day and rank those picks...My NBA sides for EVERY pick are on fire, too, going 232-161-4 on the year (59%), and are up 54.9 units this season (including the preseason), and last night was my first losing night 2-3, in the last 16 days...

I just wanted to post this tonight before my #1 side loses tonight, because I always wanted to say that my last 20 #1 NBA Sides picks went 18-2...
